Yahoo! Music Engine Updated

I have been using Yahoo! Music Engine for a few months now to stream unlimited music. It’s something like $6/month to have unlimited music on up to three computers. I don’t use the transfer to portable device options because Yahoo! does not support the iPod. I love my iPod and will not be switching to another portable player anytime soon.

Yahoo! Music Engine

This morning when I fired up YME it alerted me of an update. This was a much needed update! YME used to be pretty unstable and kind of all over the place as far as usability goes. The update made YME work and look nearly exactly like iTunes. YME now has shared play lists, network sharing of music and a bunch of other iTunes features. It looks a lot better too. I am just sticking around with YME long enough for Apple to have a competing product ;)

If they would only make it compatible with OSX! I would love to start using this service, but I am not going to go back to the PC world yet…

I like the system too, but have you noticed the connections are slower for songs you don’t have on your computer but want to preview or listen to? I also don’t like how you can’t start a playlist from any song unless you add the entire thing to your Now Playing window first…or maybe I’m missing something…
