Recycling Cars
I came across this Volvo article while researching wireless networking (no connection):
Currently, the recovery rate (material recycling and energy recovery) for a new Volvo is 85% and is expected to reach 95% for 2015 models.
It’s pretty cool that so much of a car can be recycled.

Being the Subaru lover that I am, I searched for the percent of a Subaru that can be recycled. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any real statistics but I did find this odometer photo:

It seems like you don’t need to recycle your Subaru because it’ll last forever! If you can’t read the odometer in the photo, it reads over 500,000 miles. Wow!

You sure that’s a Subaru and not a Honda?
Speaking of which, my car is getting close to the 100k mark itself… ‘98 Civic EX Coupe, and it looks brand new still.

Hehe it’s a Subaru. I got it off of a subaru.com newsletter.
My old 1990 Celica GT looked brand new and had 150k on it. It was in beautiful condition. I should dig up a picture…
