Google Video now features full length television shows — well, one at least! You can watch online the pilot episode of Everybody Hates Chris for free. Is this a hint at Google TV coming soon? It would be great to get television shows on-demand via the net. Right now there are services like Akimbo that allow for on-demand TV but only older stuff and crappy movies. We get some sort of on-demand TV with Time Warner too… but again, it’s limited to older shows or crap that you wouldn’t want to watch anyway. I want to be able to watch a show (for example, NOVA) that I just happened to have missed or didn’t want to watch right at 8pm — at 10pm when I do feel like watching it. Our living room TV… err… computer is setup to record the shows that we want to watch but unfortunately it’s not always reliable. Anyway, hopefully we’ll see more shows available like this on Google Video or perhaps Google TV!
