Video iPod?

As if there were any lack of rumors about Apple and what they’re going to do next… let’s start spreading another!
Next up could be a video enabled iPod! There are a few sites talking about it now - but it’s just talk. I am not sure that I’d go for a video iPod since I use mine primarily at the gym. There are already TVs and personal flat panels all around the workout area. It wouldn’t surprise me if Apple released an iPod video since they are starting to offer music videos with albums at an extra cost. The special edition version of some albums is about $2 more for two or three music videos. (That’s not a bad deal!) Not to mention the hundreds of free-to-stream videos available on iTunes already.

Macworld had an article on this awhile back. There were no videos for sale when they wrote their article, so this makes more sense that they would be making this now. Do you think that Apple will start selling/renting movies through itunes? It could be like the old VCD idea…
