blank keyboard

blank keyboard

Originally uploaded by superic.

For years, I have wanted a blank keyboard. Starting freshmen year, I searched and searched online for one of these. Eventually, I gave up and tried to scrape the letters off of my existing keyboard without any luck.

Then it hit me! Rather than a blank keyboard, I’ll just rearrange all of the keys so that they don’t match the system map. It was then and there that my favorite keyboard ever was born (or reborn, if you will). The frustration a mismatched keyboard causes friends and family (and enemies) that try to be productive is worth every minute spent popping off the keys and moving them around!

Das Keyboard is now available but it’s kind of pricy - about $80.

blank keyboards i think i could deal with. it was that damn german keyboard where the ‘z’ and the ‘y’, i think, were switched. that was fucking annoying!

i really want one but i’m not spending $80 on a keyboard unless it comes with dinner and a lapdance. even then, my wife wouldn’t allow it.

Your keyboard story reminded me of something… I seem to remember (trying) to help you paint your computer tower camouflage once, a loooong time ago. Did you ever finish it?

And Jeff- If you could find a place where you could purchase dinner and a lapdance AND a keyboard, all in one, then I would allow it. How could I not?
