Doorbell
I really hate when people stand behind me while I’m working and wait to get my attention. If I have my headphones on, I may not notice them for a minute or two. Now, I have a doorbell (thanks Ang!). This is good and bad. It is good because people can get my attention (though ringing it involves coming into my vision). The bad thing is that if you can ring it without me seeing it scares me!
If you can’t tell from the picture, it is a gree frog doorbell with a red heart tongue that blinks when it rings.

I have the same problem. Many developers at work have little rear view mirrors on the corners of their monitors so they can see people as they pass by or stop behind them. I found a three pack for like $13 if you wanted to split em
