Why I Enjoy My Mac
Since this is my first, “why I enjoy my Mac” post - I will explain what the heck I’m talking about. I am obligated to use both a Mac and PC on a daily basis. At work I use a Dell D600 laptop and at home I use my 15″ Powerbook G4. Both machines are very nice and treat me very well but there are some things about the Mac that make using it that much nicer. It’s the simple things really, such as this:
When OS X prompts for power (due to a low battery) it shows a dialog like most laptops. There is nothing special about that BUT what is special is that when OS X notices that you’ve obliged and provided a power adapter…it will close the dialog! Like I said, it’s the simple things that OS X does for you that really make me enjoy the Mac. If I had been using my Dell and the prompt for low battery had come up, I would have received about three total prompts even after I provided a power adapter. Then I would have had to click OK or IGNORE for each of them. Apple obviously hires more usability engineers and tests their products more throughly.

No, it is just that Apple configures their OS for the lazy or technologically challenged users.
For one could acquire the same feature or setting if one read the documentation and configured their OS to behave the way they desired.
